This summer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made his first visit to Â鶹´«Ã½.
He was accompanied by U.S. Representative, and Â鶹´«Ã½ alumna, Emilia Sykes. Together, they toured Â鶹´«Ã½'s College of Aeronautics and Engineering with Dean Christina Bloebaum, Ph.D., and Â鶹´«Ã½ President Todd Diacon, Ph.D. There, they saw demonstrations of the college's cutting-edge technology and met with students and several local mayors.
Later, Diacon, with Alison Caplan, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, led Buttigieg and Sykes on a tour of the center.
