All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the Â鶹´«Ã½ group's trip to Rwanda.
Â鶹´«Ã½ educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from Â鶹´«Ã½ are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Board of Trustees approved Â鶹´«Ã½ opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s recruitment throughout Africa.
